The Neighborhood Advocacy Project accepts clients whose incomes qualify them as indigent up to 300% of the current Federal Poverty Level. We do not accept clients who earn incomes at greater than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. NAP is a sliding-scale law firm, meaning flat-rate legal fees* are based on a client’s monthly income** according to the below sliding-scale:
FLAT RATE FEES*
% OF FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL | < 200% | 225% | 250% | 275% | 300% |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Misdemeanor | $500 | $550 | $650 | $750 | $850 |
3rd Degree Felony | $1000 | $1100 | $1300 | $1500 | $1700 |
*Flat rate fees do not include third party costs (such as the cost of an investigator or fee to serve a subpoena). Individuals who earn incomes higher than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level will be responsible for all costs associated with their case. An estimate of these costs can be given during your initial free consultation.
**Income will be verified prior to representation.
