Family Law
Neighborhood Advocacy Project currently offers pro se assistance for some family law matters including:
- Dissolution of Marriage (Divorce)
- Timeshare (Custody) Modifications
Pro se assistance entails meeting with the attorney to discuss your legal issue and assistance with completing the necessary forms to initiate your action. Pro se assistance does not include legal representation or court appearances. The client will be responsible for any filing fees charged by the court.

The Neighborhood Advocacy Project accepts clients whose incomes qualify them as indigent up to 300% of the current Federal Poverty Level. We do not accept clients who earn incomes at greater than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. NAP is a sliding-scale law firm, meaning flat-rate legal fees* are based on a client’s monthly income**.
*Flat rate fees do not include third party costs (such as the cost of an investigator or fee to serve a subpoena). Individuals who earn incomes higher than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level will be responsible for all costs associated with their case. An estimate of these costs can be given during your initial free consultation.
**Income will be verified prior to representation.
